UID Verification Stuck
What to check when your exchange UID has not verified after 48 hours, and how to get it confirmed.
UID verification can take up to 48 hours. If your UID is still pending after that, the usual cause is that the exchange account was not created through the Trade Reclaim link, or the UID you entered does not match your exchange profile exactly. Work through the checks below, then contact support if it is still stuck.
Why a UID stays pending
Trade Reclaim verifies a UID by matching it against the trading volume the exchange reports to its affiliate account. If the exchange never tagged your account to that affiliate, there is nothing to match, so the UID cannot verify. The two most common reasons a UID is not verifying are:
- The account was not created via the Trade Reclaim link. An existing exchange account, or one opened directly on the exchange, is not linked to the affiliate and will not verify.
- The UID is wrong. A mistyped digit, an extra space, or a different ID from the exchange means there is no match.
Steps to fix a stuck UID
- Confirm the account was opened through Trade Reclaim. The exchange account must have been created via the referral link or code shown in the setup wizard. If you signed up directly on the exchange, the UID cannot be verified, and you would need a fresh account opened through the link.
- Copy the exact UID from your exchange profile. Open your account on the exchange, find your UID (usually in profile or account settings), and copy it directly rather than typing it. UIDs are numeric and must match character for character.
- Re-enter the UID. In the Trade Reclaim dashboard, remove the pending UID and paste the copied value again, with no leading or trailing spaces. Save it and let verification run.
- Check for skipped steps. If the linking wizard stalled earlier, a required exchange KYC step may have been skipped. Complete any pending KYC on the exchange, since some exchanges only report volume once the account is fully verified.
- Wait out the window. After re-entering a correct UID, allow up to 48 hours again before treating it as stuck.
Note: Trade Reclaim only ever uses your public UID. It never has your API keys, password, or withdrawal access, so re-entering the UID is safe and cannot affect your funds.
When to contact support
If the UID is exact, the account was created through the Trade Reclaim link, and it still has not verified after 48 hours, email support@trade-reclaim.com. Include your UID and the exchange name so the team can check the affiliate report directly. Sending both details up front is the fastest way to get it resolved.
