Payout Currencies: USDT, BTC and ETH

How Trade Reclaim decides whether your cashback is paid in USDT, BTC or ETH, and why you must match your payout wallet to the asset.

By default, Trade Reclaim pays your cashback in USDT. The exception is inverse / coin-margined contracts: those pay in BTC or ETH instead, in the same currency Trade Reclaim received the commission, and that amount cannot be converted to USDT.

USDT is the default

Almost all of your trading generates commission in USDT, so almost all of your cashback is credited and paid out in USDT. You can request a USDT payout once your balance reaches the 20 USDT minimum, and it is sent on the ERC-20 or TRC-20 network to the wallet address you set in account settings.

When you get BTC or ETH instead

Inverse contracts (also called coin-margined contracts) are settled in the underlying coin rather than a stablecoin. Examples include BTCUSD and ETHUSD. When you trade these, the exchange pays Trade Reclaim its affiliate commission in that coin, so your cashback is credited in the same asset.

  • BTC-margined contracts (e.g. BTCUSD) pay cashback in BTC.
  • ETH-margined contracts (e.g. ETHUSD) pay cashback in ETH.

Note: BTC and ETH cashback cannot be converted to USDT. Trade Reclaim pays you in the exact currency it received, so a BTC balance is paid out as BTC and an ETH balance as ETH.

Match your wallet to the asset

Each asset has its own payout wallet address. Before requesting a payout, make sure the address you have on file is valid for the asset and network you are withdrawing.

  1. Open account settings and find the payout wallet section.
  2. Set a USDT address on ERC-20 or TRC-20 for your standard cashback.
  3. If you trade inverse contracts, also set a BTC address and an ETH address.
  4. Confirm each address is correct for its asset, then request your payout.

If you send a payout to an address that does not match the asset or network, it may be unrecoverable. A USDT TRC-20 address will not receive BTC, and an ERC-20 address is not a Bitcoin address.

How to tell which currency you'll receive

Your dashboard balance reflects the currency your cashback accrued in. If you only trade USDT-margined spot and futures, you will only ever see a USDT balance. If you trade inverse contracts, you may see separate BTC or ETH balances alongside it, each requiring its own matching wallet address.

FAQ

Can I convert my BTC or ETH cashback to USDT?

No. Cashback from inverse contracts is paid in the exact currency Trade Reclaim received from the exchange, so BTC stays BTC and ETH stays ETH. Convert it yourself on your exchange after the payout if you want USDT.

Why is most of my cashback in USDT?

Most trading uses USDT-margined contracts and spot pairs, where commission is paid in USDT. Only inverse / coin-margined contracts settle in BTC or ETH.

What happens if my payout address is for the wrong asset?

The payout may fail or be lost. Set a separate, valid wallet address per asset and network in account settings before you request a payout.
