My UID Is Still Verifying: What to Expect

What a verifying UID means on Trade Reclaim, how long verification takes, and what to do if it stays pending past 48 hours.

If your UID is still verifying, that is normal. UID verification can take up to 48 hours, and you can track the status anytime in your Trade Reclaim dashboard under Connected Accounts. Once it verifies, cashback starts accruing from your next trade.

What "verifying" means

After you link an exchange and enter your public UID, Trade Reclaim checks that the UID is tagged to its affiliate account so the exchange will report that UID's trading volume. While that check runs, the account shows a pending or verifying status. You do not need to do anything during this window. Trade Reclaim only uses your public UID, so verifying happens entirely on the affiliate side. It never touches your balances, positions or funds.

How long UID verification takes

Most UIDs clear well before the limit, but verification can take up to 48 hours. The verification time depends on when the exchange syncs the UID to the affiliate account, which is outside Trade Reclaim's control.

Note: Cashback does not backfill trades made while the UID was pending. It accrues from your next trade after verification, then is credited per trade within 48 hours.

How to track the status

  1. Open your Trade Reclaim dashboard.
  2. Go to Connected Accounts.
  3. Find the exchange you linked and check its verification status next to the UID.

When the status changes from pending to verified, you are set. Place a trade and cashback begins to accrue.

If your UID is pending beyond 48 hours

If it has been more than 48 hours and the UID is still pending, work through these checks in order:

  1. Confirm the exchange account was created via the Trade Reclaim link. This is the most common cause. If you signed up directly, or earlier, without the Trade Reclaim referral link, the UID is not tagged to the affiliate and cannot verify. Re-check the setup steps in the setup wizard.
  2. Double-check the UID itself. Make sure you entered your correct public Exchange UID with no extra spaces or characters, and that it matches the account you trade on.
  3. Contact support. If both look right and it is still pending, email support@trade-reclaim.com with your exchange name and the UID you linked, and the team will check it for you.

Up to 48 hours. Many UIDs verify faster, but allow the full window before treating it as stuck.

Will I get cashback on trades made while my UID was verifying?

No. Cashback accrues from your next trade once the UID is verified, not on trades placed during the pending period.

My UID is still pending after 48 hours. What now?

First confirm the exchange account was created through the Trade Reclaim link and that the UID is entered correctly. If both are correct, contact support@trade-reclaim.com.
