How to earn Trade Reclaim cashback when you already have an exchange account, broken down by what each exchange allows.
If you already have an exchange account, you can usually still earn cashback, but how depends on the exchange. Some let you transfer your KYC, some need a fresh account, some let you add a second one, and a few can simply swap the referrer on your existing account. The Trade Reclaim setup wizard tells you exactly which path applies and walks you through it.
Cashback only works when the exchange tags your trading volume to Trade Reclaim's affiliate account. An account you opened on your own usually isn't tagged, so the goal of every path below is to get that link in place.
Find your path in the wizard first
The fastest way to know what to do is the setup wizard. Pick your exchange and it shows the right method, the link or code to use, and where to paste your public UID. There are four possible paths.
1. KYC transfer (Bybit, Phemex)
Some exchanges let you move your verified identity to a new account linked through Trade Reclaim, so you don't lose your KYC status. You request the transfer, then link the new account in your dashboard. Follow the steps in the wizard for your exchange.
2. KYC reset + new account (Binance, Bitget)
On these, you reset KYC on the existing account, then create a fresh account through the Trade Reclaim link so it's tagged from the start. This is the most involved path, but it's the only way these exchanges report your volume to the affiliate.
3. Add a second account (MEXC, Bitunix, LeveX)
Here you keep your current account and simply open a second one through Trade Reclaim, then trade on the new one to earn cashback. No reset needed.
4. Swap the referrer (BitMart, BloFin)
These let you change the referrer on your existing account to Trade Reclaim, no new account at all. The wizard shows the exact request to make.
Then link your UID
Whichever path you take, the last step is the same: enter your public Exchange UID in the dashboard. Trade Reclaim only ever needs that UID, never your API keys, password, or withdrawal access. Verification can take up to 48 hours, and cashback then accrues from your next trade. You can request a payout once your balance reaches 20 USDT.
Note: Linking an account you opened independently, without doing the path for your exchange, is the most common reason for "No trades detected", the volume simply isn't tagged to the affiliate.

Do I lose my balance or trade history?
No. Trade Reclaim is non-custodial and can't touch your funds, positions, or history. KYC transfers and referrer swaps keep your account; a reset + new account is a separate account you control fully.
Why can't every exchange just swap the referrer?
Each exchange sets its own affiliate rules. Some allow a referrer change after signup, others only tag volume for accounts created through the link. The wizard reflects each exchange's current policy.
How long until cashback starts?
UID verification takes up to 48 hours. After that, cashback accrues from your next trade and is credited per trade, typically within 48 hours.
