How to Correct a Wrongly Entered UID

If you entered the wrong UID, open Connected Accounts in your Trade Reclaim dashboard, update the UID for that exchange, and save. The corrected UID re-enters verification (up to 48 hours), and only a correctly matched UID earns cashback.

Why the right UID matters

Your UID is the public account ID that the exchange uses to report your trading volume to Trade Reclaim's affiliate account. If the UID is mistyped or belongs to a different account, the exchange has nothing to match against, so no volume is tagged and no cashback accrues. Fixing it is just a matter of replacing the wrong value with the correct one.

How to correct the UID in your dashboard

  1. Find your real UID inside your exchange account (usually under your profile, account, or referral section). Copy it exactly, with no extra spaces.
  2. Open your Trade Reclaim dashboard and go to Connected Accounts.
  3. Locate the exchange with the wrong UID. You will see its current value and verification status.
  4. Edit the UID field, paste the correct UID, and save.
  5. Confirm the entry now shows as pending or re-verifying for that exchange.

Note: Copy and paste the UID rather than typing it. A single wrong digit is the most common reason a UID fails to match.

What happens after you correct it

A corrected UID re-enters verification, which can take up to 48 hours. During this window the exchange confirms the UID belongs to an account created through Trade Reclaim's referral link. Once the status shows as verified, cashback accrues from your next trade and is credited per trade within 48 hours. Only correctly matched UIDs earn cashback, so trades made while the UID was wrong are not retroactively rebated.

If the UID is already verified or locked

If the field is locked, greyed out, or already verified and you still need to change it, contact support@trade-reclaim.com. Include your account email, the exchange, the incorrect UID currently on file, and the correct UID. Support can unlock the entry and re-trigger verification for you. This also applies if you accidentally linked the wrong exchange account entirely.

Will I lose cashback I already earned by changing the UID?

No. Cashback already credited to your balance stays. Correcting the UID only affects future trade matching, and it has no effect on a wrong UID that was never earning in the first place.

Why is my corrected UID still not verified?

Verification can take up to 48 hours. If it is still pending after that, the most common cause is that the exchange account was not created through the Trade Reclaim referral link, so the UID cannot be matched. Re-create the account via the setup wizard link, or contact support.

Can I just delete the connection and re-add it?

Editing the UID in Connected Accounts is the simplest fix. If the entry is locked and you cannot edit it, reach out to support rather than guessing, so verification is handled cleanly.
