Why Trade Reclaim Never Needs Your API Keys
How Trade Reclaim delivers cashback using only your public UID, never API keys, so there is nothing to leak or abuse.
Trade Reclaim never asks for your API keys because it does not need them. It reads only one thing: the affiliate-reported trading volume tied to your public Exchange UID. There is no key to leak, no permission to abuse, and nothing that can move your funds.
What API keys actually expose
Many third-party trading tools ask you to generate an exchange API key and paste it in. An API key is a credential that lets software act on your account. Depending on the permissions granted, a key can:
- Read your full account, balances, open positions, order history and personal trading data.
- Place and cancel orders, trade on your behalf without you clicking anything.
- Enable withdrawals, when withdrawal permission is left on, a leaked key can drain funds.
Even a "read-only" key still exposes private account data, and keys get leaked through breaches, phishing, browser extensions or careless storage. Once a key is out, anyone holding it has whatever access it was granted.
How Trade Reclaim works instead: UID only
Trade Reclaim is non-custodial. To earn cashback you sign up to a supported exchange through the Trade Reclaim setup wizard, then enter your public Exchange UID in the dashboard. The exchange reports that UID's trading volume to Trade Reclaim's affiliate account, the exchange pays Trade Reclaim a commission on the fees you generate, and Trade Reclaim returns 30-50% of that commission to you as USDT cashback.
Your UID is a public account identifier, not a credential. It cannot place an order, change a setting or trigger a withdrawal. The only data point attached to it that Trade Reclaim sees is the affiliate-reported volume.
Why UID-only avoids the risk entirely
Because there is no API key, password or withdrawal access in the system, there is nothing for an attacker to steal that would touch your account:
- Trade Reclaim never holds your funds and never has withdrawal access, the exchange keeps 100% control of your account.
- It cannot see your balances, positions or withdrawals, only the affiliate-reported volume.
- It cannot trade for you or move anything.
- Trade Reclaim itself requires no KYC, only an email and your UID. It is GDPR-compliant, and your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Note: If a tool ever asks for your exchange API key just to pay you a rebate, that is more access than the job requires. Cashback only needs to know how much you traded, which the UID already provides.
FAQ
Is my UID sensitive like an API key?
No. Your UID is a public account identifier. It cannot authenticate actions, place trades or withdraw funds, so sharing it does not put your account at risk.
Can Trade Reclaim withdraw or trade with my account?
No. Trade Reclaim has no API keys, no password and no withdrawal access. It cannot move funds or place trades; the exchange keeps full control of your account.
What can Trade Reclaim actually see?
Only the trading volume the exchange reports for your UID, plus the email and UID you provide. It cannot see your balances, positions or withdrawals.
