What Is My Exchange UID and Where to Find It
What a public Exchange UID is, why Trade Reclaim uses it, and where to find your UID on each exchange.
Your exchange UID is the public account number your crypto exchange assigns you. It is an identifier, not a password, and it is the only thing Trade Reclaim needs from your account to pay you cashback.
What is a UID?
A UID (unique identifier) is the public ID number tied to your account on an exchange like Bybit, Binance or MEXC. It is similar to an account number: it identifies which account a trade belongs to, but it grants no access on its own. Sharing your UID cannot let anyone log in, move funds or place trades.
Note: Your UID is safe to share. It is not your password, your API key or your email login. Never share those.
Why Trade Reclaim uses your UID
Trade Reclaim is a non-custodial cashback platform, so it never asks for API keys, passwords or withdrawal access. Instead, you enter your public UID once in the dashboard. The exchange then reports that UID's trading volume to Trade Reclaim's affiliate account, the exchange pays a commission on the fees you generate, and Trade Reclaim returns 30-50% of that commission to you as USDT cashback.
Because Trade Reclaim only ever sees the public UID, it cannot view your balances, positions or withdrawals, and the exchange keeps 100% control of your account.
Where to find your UID
Your UID lives in your exchange profile or account page. The exact label and location differ slightly per exchange, but the general path is the same:
- Log in to your exchange (web or app).
- Open your profile or account page, usually by tapping your avatar or username in the top corner.
- Look for a number labelled UID, User ID or Account ID, often right under your name or email.
- Tap to copy it, then paste it into the Trade Reclaim setup wizard.
Some exchanges put the UID on the main profile screen; others list it under account details or security settings. If you cannot spot it, the per-exchange setup guides show the exact screen for your platform.
What happens after you enter it
Once your UID is linked, verification can take up to 48 hours. After that, cashback accrues from your next trade and is credited per trade, typically within 48 hours. You can link a UID for each supported exchange, and linking takes about 60 seconds per account.
Note: For cashback to track, the exchange account must have been created through the Trade Reclaim referral link. If it was not, the exchange has no way to tag your volume to the affiliate, and no trades will be detected.
FAQ
Is my UID the same as my email or username?
No. The UID is a separate numeric ID. Your email and username are login credentials; the UID is just a public account reference.
Can someone steal funds if they have my UID?
No. A UID grants no access. It cannot log in, trade or withdraw. Only your password, 2FA and API keys can do that, and Trade Reclaim never asks for those.
I have accounts on several exchanges. Do I need a UID for each?
Yes. Each exchange issues its own UID. Link each one separately in the dashboard to earn cashback across all of them.
