Is Trade Reclaim Safe?
A trader-honest look at why Trade Reclaim is safe: non-custodial, public UID only, no fund access, and what the real catch is.
Yes, Trade Reclaim is safe. It is non-custodial, meaning it never holds your funds, never has your API keys, password, or withdrawal access, and cannot move money out of your exchange account. The only thing it uses is your public Exchange UID.
What "non-custodial" actually means here
Custody is the part of crypto where most risk lives. With Trade Reclaim, that risk stays where it belongs: on the exchange. Your funds sit in your own exchange account the entire time, and the exchange keeps 100% control. Trade Reclaim sits outside the account completely.
To use it, you sign up to a supported exchange through Trade Reclaim's referral link, then paste your public UID into the Trade Reclaim dashboard. That UID is just an account identifier. It is not a key, not a login, and not a permission. The exchange uses it to report your trading volume to Trade Reclaim's affiliate account, and Trade Reclaim returns 30-50% of the affiliate commission to you as USDT cashback.
What Trade Reclaim can and cannot do
- No API keys. You never generate or hand over an API key, so there is no read or trade access to your account.
- No password or login access. Trade Reclaim never asks for your exchange credentials.
- No withdrawal access. It cannot move, withdraw, or transfer a single cent.
- No visibility into your account. It cannot see your balances, open positions, or withdrawals. From the UID it only receives the affiliate-reported trading volume.
Trade Reclaim itself requires no KYC: just an email and your UID. Individual exchanges may still require their own KYC. The platform is GDPR-compliant; the data it collects (email, the UID(s) you link, the affiliate-reported volume, and basic technical/support data) is encrypted in transit and at rest, and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
So what is the catch?
This is the honest question, and the honest answer is that the cashback is not free money pulled out of thin air. When you trade, the exchange already pays an affiliate commission on the fees you generate. Normally that commission goes entirely to whoever referred you. Trade Reclaim is your referrer, and it gives most of that commission back to you instead of keeping it.
Note: Cashback is a rebate of the affiliate commission, sized as a percentage of your own trading fees. It is not a discount on the fee itself, and it is not a share of Trade Reclaim's other revenue. The trade-off is simply that you sign up through the referral link so the volume gets tagged correctly. If the account was not created through that link, no volume is reported and there is nothing to rebate.
FAQ
Can Trade Reclaim withdraw my crypto?
No. It has no API keys, no withdrawal permission, and no access to your account. Only the exchange can move your funds, and only you authorize that.
Is sharing my UID risky?
No. A UID is a public account identifier, not a credential. It cannot be used to log in, trade, or withdraw. The exchange only uses it to report your volume to the affiliate account.
Do I need to give up KYC documents to Trade Reclaim?
No. Trade Reclaim needs only an email and your UID. Any KYC requirement comes from the exchange itself, not from Trade Reclaim.
